For Alba, this film has been a great opportunity as a director because it melds together two of the aspects she cherishes the most in filmmaking: the creation of relatable characters through the compelling craft of directing actors and telling the story of an empowered latina coming back home, proud of who she is and everything that unfolds when she spends time with her Mexican family.

Lifetime US’s first film set in Mexico, with over 30% of the dialogue in Spanish, produced by Embarcadero Pictures. The shoot took place in one of the most iconic and beautiful cities in the country and which happens to be Alba’s coup de coeur.
