Hola, I’m so glad you’re here.

When I was a little girl and my dad was working as an engineer and my mom as a chemist, I stayed at my grandmother’s house every afternoon. She became one of the most important influences in my life.

I enjoyed sitting and listening to her stories about her youth, the books and films she liked and about her trips around the world. My abuela was a woman ahead of her generation.

One day, she promised me we’d go to a movie theater to watch The Sound of Music if I ate all my green beans. Without knowing what it was about the cinema, it already exerted a special magnetism on me, since a plate of green beans was never seen eaten faster in that house.

When the movie was over and we walked home together commenting about the film, she said that that was perhaps her most favourite moment. I asked her why and she explained to me that every shared reflection we had upon an experience impacts who we are as a person and how we see the world.

I think that was the moment when I decided that I wanted to become a storyteller in order to start conversations and spark reflections in others.

And so, here I am fulfilling my dream.
